I took Novel November seriously and set my goal of 50,000 words. By the end of the month I had done it. Fortunately I had already writte about half of the third Talent Continuum book and that 50k brought me nearly to the finish line. I spent the next week wrapping up the next 10,000 words and the book. To be honest, what really slowed me down was melancholy. It was hard to come to the end of a trilogy I started in 2019. Saying goodbye to those characters (who really are like actual people to me at this point) was difficult. The way the story ended was also painful. Suffice it to say I had a hard enough time ending it that I had to leave it open so I can go back in and expand that world if I choose to in the future!

I also made it through to the end of my Bigfoot book, right before November. That one is with beta readers now and I'm getting good feedback so far. It feels pretty good to hear. I should be able to publish that one in February and the Talent book in April, if things continue as planned.

This year was not an easy one by any means, but in my usual style, I kept on plugging and made it through. Leaving some burnt ashes behind as is how things work with we Phoenixes, though.
