All the Info

It's a lot. I can't fit a life story in this spot. Suffice it to say,  I started writing in 2013 after I was diagnosed with a grade II brain tumor. I started writing fiction about six years ago, starting with the first draft of the YA fantasy novel that was released on January 10, 2025, A Discovery of Talents. Representation for LGBTQIA+ and disability are high on my list of priorities. We deserve to see ourselves as the main characters. I'm a transgender queer disabled person. I've been physically disabled my entire adult life. Learning to deal with mental disabilities came with the cancer and the surgeries that went along with it. I first came out as nonbinary queer 2 years ago, and it has turned out to be more of a journey of self-discovery than I thought it ever would be. It's not easy to live in the shadows, and once you come out, often you are able to discover more about yourself than you ever realized. After I came out the first time, I legally changed my name. Some of my early work is under my dead name. I'm still working on changing that on my self-published work. I also spent the last year working on myself as much as my writing and these books. After months of workng through things on my own, I went back into therapy.

I realized my actual truth, something I always thought might be real, but was always terrified of. Although i tried to force myself to live in the box of being the worman I was told I was and was expected to be-that wasn't me. I'm not a woman, I'm a man. I've begun transitioning through therapy and hormone therapy. The best part is just how good I feel. For the first time in my life, I feel calm. I feel like myself.
I wanted to and  have tried to be awrite since I was a kid. Nothing ever really worked out until the last 11 years. Maybe I just needed the right experience to rise from.
